We will send you, or the designated recipient, an adoption certificate, a photograph, and a letter from your adopted baby giraffe.

For Example: Baraka's Story

Picture
Baraka, the Masai giraffe calf, was born in June 2014 in Tarangire National Park. His is one of 1,800 giraffe life stories that Wild Nature Institute scientists Dr. Derek Lee and Monica Bond are documenting. The picture above shows Baraka at 3 months old when we first discovered him.  Baraka means ‘Blessing’ in Swahili.

In a few more years, Baraka will mature and father calves of his own whose lives we hope to document and add to our ever-growing database of more than 500 Masai giraffe we first encountered as calves. Many giraffe lovers have chosen to adopt a giraffe calf to support the science and conservation work of the Wild Nature Institute. Giraffe adoptions are also a great gift for a child who will be able to email questions and receive photos and stories about their adopted calf.
